What's going on
Someone on Japanese social media posted a simple request: "Give me weirdly shaped cats." What followed was a flood of replies — owners rushing to submit photographic evidence that their cats had completely lost the plot when it comes to having a body.
Cats, as a species, seem constitutionally incapable of maintaining a normal shape. Whether melting into furniture, sleeping in positions that suggest no bones exist, or somehow folding themselves into a perfect cube, the cats in this thread are united by one thing: they look deeply, deeply wrong. And also incredible.

My take
I feel like my sense of what a cat is supposed to look like is starting to break down. Is that normal? Is that a cat?
