A father used his 3D printer to make a tooth-shaped toothbrush holder at his daughter's request. It came out clean, white, and anatomically charming — a neat little molar sitting on the bathroom shelf. Then his daughter got to it with a black marker and filled the holes with scribbles, turning the pristine tooth into a cavity-riddled wreck.

My take

3D printing something clever is impressive enough, but the daughter's instinct to immediately stress-test it with a marker is the real engineering spirit. Also, the fact that the improvement was basically instant.
